“All things considered?” asked Davros smarmily.
“I blew it up.”
“Decidedly not,” the Dalek commander responded with an evil grin.

Thought I would do a little drawing of our narrator and our protagonist as a thank you to everyone who’s started reading Time War, and in celebration of hitting two follower milestones in the past couple of days.

“For today,” Davros continued in his gravelly, electronic voice, “is the day we exact our revenge on our mortal enemies…the Time Lords! Their very existence threatens our survival! Maintaining their monopoly of space and time isn’t enough for them. They fear us, the one force that could unseat them from their ill-gotten throne! And they will not rest until every last Dalek is destroyed!”
There was a commotion in the crowd below. A cacophony of frantic electronic voices filled the air. Davros’ words were managing to rile up even a species as heartless and clinical as the Daleks.
“And what is their weapon of choice? None other than the man who tried to end the Dalek race in its infancy. The man who trapped our mighty fleet in the Time Vortex and left us for dead. The man who has opposed us- defeated us- on too many occasions. The Doctor!”

The crowd did not take kindly to the mentioning of his name.
“And he will defeat us again- the Time Lords will defeat us again- unless we strike back! We will invade Gallifrey! We will exterminate the Time Lords! And we will be forever recognized as the most powerful race in the Universe!”

“To the ships, my creations! Today is the day the Daleks reign supreme over time! Today is the day that Gallifrey falls!”
